Brianne Shiraki is the managing editor and founder of Shiraki Press. After a varied career in and out of administration, software, video games, and other odds and ends, she finds herself back at the beginning, with her first loves—reading stories and making plans.
Josh Sutphin is the principal designer and co-founder of Shiraki Press. He grew up loving books, took a lengthy detour through a career in video game development, and is now an emerging author of speculative fiction. He writes at joshsutphin.com.

Today’s generative AI tools require unbelievable amounts of energy to run and produce terrifying amounts of climate-damaging emissions at a time when the world is careening towards ecological collapse. To that end:
- We do not accept AI-generated submissions
- We do not commission or use AI-generated cover art or content
- We do not use generative AI tools in our publishing pipeline
