Stanwood Bookfest, Puget Sound Book Fair, and more!

Hi friends!

I had written a long, detailed recap of our very busy weekend and... I managed to delete all of it. So you're getting a pretty casual recap instead!

We had a doozy of a weekend. We kicked it off on Saturday by getting up bright and early to head north to Stanwood. On the way our car windshield decided to spontaneously develop a very large, perfectly circular crack. 😭 Luckily it was in an out of the way spot so we were able to continue just fine.

We got set up on the brick road and had a pretty steady flow of people stopping by the booth for the duration. We made about $165 in sales before we packed up and headed home and basically turned into potatoes for the rest of the evening.

Then Sunday morning bright and early we went west to Bremerton for the Puget Sound Book Fair. The weather was gorgeous and the view from the pier was amazing as always.

And WOW. The attendance was high and so were our spirits. We did a resounding $1437 in sales which blew our last sales record out of the water. We're incredibly grateful to everyone who was able to stop by, make a purchase, or just say hello.

Some fun additions to the booth this time around were our brand new book display boxes, our hanging logo signs, and putting up our LGBTQ+ flag bunting!

 
This week, we've been taking inventory, restocking and resetting in preparation for our next big event - LAConV (WorldCon) in Anaheim from August 27th-31st!

Behind the scenes we're making great progress on our titles for next year. We've moved two titles on to the copy-editing phase and we're close to finalizing covers! We're also busily preparing for the release of Fruits of Our Labor on August 25th and Light & Earth & Marrow on September 22nd as well.
